Water throwing in the streets of Thailand.

As with many Asian countries, Thailand has its own New Year celebration that is not calculated with the Gregorian (Western) calendar. Thailand's modern New Year is celebrated on April 13th through 15th, though historically, it varied. During this period, the Thais celebrate in a very unique and fun way — hint: it involves a lot of water!
