Welcome to Chef O's Blog

For a long time, we have wanted to connect and interact with our wonderful customers outside of the restaurant. This new site is our way of doing just that. This blog will cover bits about Asia's culture, food and more.

Part of this blog is free for all to enjoy, but there is a special section for our VIP. This includes special recipes, additional discounts and tips from the Chef. Follow us on this exciting journey (either right here, or our RSS feed), and let us know if you have a topic in mind using our contact page. Enjoy!

So what's with the name Ka-Prow? We get this question quite often. I know when I first heard the name, visions were conjured up of comic book characters with their infamous words used to describe the fights between super heroes and villains. BAM! BOOM! KA PROW! A couple of weeks ago, Ka-Prow Bistro was featured on KVUE with local food enthusiast Rob Balon! KVUE has graciously provided a video clip of his visit, so if you missed it, here it is.

Rob wonderfully articulates why he loves some of his favorites, including the light and crispy lettuce wraps, the stir fried Pad Prik King, and the bold and dynamic Red Curry. To see more of what Rob loves, watch the video clip below! Take a look around and feel free to tell us about your favorite Ka-Prow meal!

All of these flavors encompass what I love about Thai food, but I wonder, has it always been this amazing?

According to Chef Opart, the flavors loved and savored by fans of Thai food were not always around. Before there was the spice trade and occupying influx of immigrants, Thai food was actually quite simple.
